Staff Sponsorship FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions about Staff Sponsorship

HOW DOES STAFF SPONSORSHIP WORK?

Sponsoring a staff member of Hope Station is simple:

Your monthly gift goes directly towards your sponsored staff member‘s monthly salary. This makes it possible for them to support the vulnerable children and families that depend on them day-to-day. You can read more about each staff member’s specific roles in their profiles.

HOW MUCH DOES SPONSORSHIP COST?

Staff sponsors are invited to commit to a monthly amount of $25 or higher.

CAN I COMMUNICATE WITH MY SPONSORED STAFF MEMBER?

Of course! You will get an update from your sponsored staff member every month. You can even send a note of encouragement back to them, but they won’t be able to reply to you specifically. You are not required to write to your sponsored staff member. You will get monthly updates from them no matter what. However, we hope you will take this opportunity to encourage them!

Sending notes of encouragement to your sponsored staff member helps them feel even more inspired to support the children and families they serve. Instructions on how to send a note to your sponsored staff member are included in your welcome packet. All correspondence is done electronically.

WILL MY MONTHLY GIFT GO DIRECTLY & ONLY TO MY SPONSORED STAFF MEMBER?

Yes! Your monthly gift is assigned to your sponsored staff member’s individual salary, and therefore supports the unique and valuable work that they do. It will not be used for any other staff member, or any other purpose. If your sponsored staff member leaves Hope Station for any reason, we will notify you right away.

HOW LONG IS THE SPONSORSHIP COMMITMENT?

Staff sponsorship is a voluntary, ongoing contribution. You decide how long you’re able to help.

WILL MY SPONSORED STAFF MEMBER HAVE ANY OTHER SPONSORS?

Most likely, yes. Each sponsored staff member can have multiple sponsors supporting them at any time, up to but not exceeding their personal salary amount. For example, a staff member with a salary of $100 might have two $25 sponsors and one $50 sponsor. You can check our website at any time to see current information on how many sponsors your sponsored staff member has, and whether or not their unique salary is fully sponsored yet.
