As March comes to a close, we reflect on the inspiring stories of progress and perseverance we’ve witnessed — stories made possible by your support. This month, we celebrate not only the children and families we serve but also the incredible women behind their growth.
A Mother’s Fierce Devotion
XuanXuan’s mom is nothing short of a hero. When this school term began without any braille textbooks or materials, she and volunteers took it upon themselves to translate and carefully proofread every page. At night, after long days, she continues working with XuanXuan on homework and independence skills. Her determination ensures that her daughter’s world is filled with opportunity and hope. This Women’s Month, we honor mothers like her who go above and beyond.
The Everyday Strength of JunXi’s Mom
From early mornings getting JunXi out of bed to late nights reteaching school lessons and assisting with therapy, JunXi’s mom carries a full and often exhausting load. Between managing a part-time job, constant medical appointments, supporting therapy sessions, and overseeing his learning at home, her days rarely slow down. She makes space for his struggles, his growth, and his joy — even when she’s running on little sleep. Her steady love and commitment are the forces that keep her family moving forward.
A Grandmother’s Devotion
LongLong’s grandmother may not call herself a hero, but we do. From raising ducks and growing vegetables to hand-cooking meals with love and saving every nutritious bite for her grandson, she lives every day with devotion and joy. Even when battling long-term health issues and caring for LongLong through seizures and therapy sessions, she never complains. Her laughter, humility, and fierce care are a reminder that strength doesn’t always roar — sometimes, it sounds like a grandmother gently asking, “What happened today?” and smiling at the answer.
There are so many more stories of resilient moms, devoted grandmas, and caregivers who quietly move mountains each day. We wish we could share them all — their strength and love inspire everything we do.
