COVID19 Update {There is HOPE!}

Hi everyone,

     It’s Rebekah here. I can’t express how heavily you all have been on my heart these days. No matter where you are in the world, the pandemic has affected you in some way. It can feel so scary to watch the numbers rise as the virus spreads from city to city, state to state, country to country. I know. I’ve been there.

     In the face of so much discouraging news, I want to offer a little slice of happy. I was in your shoes two months ago. At the end of January, our apartment complex got locked down, the Hope Station office closed, church and gatherings were cancelled, my husband and I stocked up on groceries, and we began our long stay at home. It was so scary.

  But now… NOW I write to you from a public rooftop where I’m working outside for the afternoon. Little kids are running back and forth, I can hear the fountain splashing behind me, and the spring air is slowly healing my soul.

     Take heart, friend. Our Father in heaven promises that “In this world you will have troubles. But take heart… I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). We know there is a light at the end of this tunnel because God says so. And that is enough. But when the day comes that you find it hard to trust, and it will, just remember that I wrote this from the rooftop.

Sending love and prayers from China,
